( RE: The Ringmaster and EZ Rider )
Good afternoon Jerry,
On Friday May 2, I had my second conversation with you which culminated in a two bit order. You told me I could probably expect them by the following Tuesday. When I got home from work Monday afternoon, my order had already arrived.
I operate a small training operation on a part-time basis starting colts and taking on issue horses. I work with eight to ten horses a year, specializing in producing reliable trail mounts. We also sell a couple finished horses of our own every year.
I quickly assembled the Ringmaster with the bit guards and put it on a customer’s colt I had just started the week before. This colt had had about a half a dozen rides on him using a full cheek, broken mouthpiece snaffle and was coming along nicely. I have been starting colts with this bit for nearly ten years and have been satisfied with my results. I immediately could tell a difference in how this colt handled, his reaction to my requests, and a positive change in over-all demeanor. This is a really nice, level headed colt, so while the changes were subtle, I still could see a difference. I continued using the Ringmaster the rest of the week, then on Saturday switched over to the EZ Rider. Usually the switch from the snaffle to the shank involves a bit of an adjustment period. I’m not sure this colt even knew I switched!! I have two more weeks to go on this colt and I expect to progress further than originally anticipated.
Everything else I have scheduled for the rest of this year are older, issue horses, so it will be interesting to see what part your bits play in their improvement. I have great expectations.
Once again, thank you for the outstanding service and I look forward to doing further business with you.

( RE: The One Hander) Jerry, I started horseback riding during October of 2006. I bought my first horse- a 1/2 Arab 1/2-quarter horse-bay colored gelding, January 2007. Romeo was 11 years old at the time. He was listed on Equine.com as being "bomb proof" .He was ridden by a 14 year old girl who was trying to get her confidence back after falling numerous times with a previous horse. She was riding him "English" style in an enclosed arena. She admitted that he really was not good for jumping and while easy to ride, it was time to get back to a true Hunter/Jumper. She had never had him on the trail and had no prior knowledge of his training. My trainer/teacher thought he was a fabulous horse and quite a buy. Once back at her small stable, she found him to be an exceptionally well trained and a bright horse. Her favorite bit is the Tom Thumb-she bought me one that was 5 1/2 inches. As a new rider I found that holding on occurred all to easily. Along with this is the tendency to pull on the reins more than necessary. Over a 6-month period I became a better rider but felt that he was never comfortable with that bit in his mouth. He threw his head constantly and never was calm. I tried other bits she recommended-all standard off the shelf stuff. He hated them also. After much research I discovered the "One Hander". I ordered it and showed the bit to my trainer. Quite frankly it is quite unusual looking. Yet it all makes sense when you play with it. Since using it he has calmed down, dropped his head, is easily responsive, and not fussy. I highly recommend you consider this bit as a way for your horse to partner with you humanely. Sincerely, William B. Gross DDS

Hey G.R. Its Jarred, you met my girlfriend Bethany and I at Equine Affaire. Bethany purchased the Ringmaster for me for Christmas. I just want to tell you how wonderful this bit has been. I have yet to put it in a horses mouth that didn't like this bit . I have a very stubborn Walkaloosa mare who was abused before I got her a year ago. I have been working extensively with her and her biting after getting the Ring Master with the rubber mouth guards. She gives me less trouble now knowing that she is getting a bit that she likes. Thanks for a wonderful product,

.................................................................................................................. ( RE: The Ringmaster) G.R. We got the bit last Friday, 3/21, and got to use it that evening. I put the bit in Romeo's mouth and it was like he was a different horse. No pulling on the bit, no throwing his head. I had the kid's ride him Saturday with no problems from the bit. Monday, during the kid's lesson, the trainer who helped saddle him but the bit in backwards and he did not like that. After my wife got the instructions out and showed her how it was supposed to go, he was great. He is in the riding program where we stable him and I asked the trainer to use our bridle. Once again, this week, he was great. They had a five year old on him with no problems. The trainer has been telling others at the barn about the bit and I showed it to the previous owners of Romeo. They were impressed. Romeo had only been ridden bare back the last 3 years so he was being a little stubborn since we got him, but the Ringmaster sure changed that. Don't be surprised if you see a few orders from the Edmond, OK area. I'm telling whoever I can about it. Thanks again for a great bit. ( RE: The Ringmaster) Hi G.R.,
I purchased a Ringmaster last week for my new, cranky, seven year old horse, he's been tossing his head etc. We put it on him today and he relaxed almost instantly. Very different from his reactions to all the other bits we have tried. He softened his head and put it to my chest. All I can say is -----WOW!
Thank you so much,

( RE: The One Hander and the Ringmaster)
Probably 20 years ago I purchased a One Hander and Ring Master. Love them! Been looking for you to get more ever since. I'm glad I finally found you. Great products. I'm glad you've now got a design that is showring legal. They are my "special horses only" bits.
I do love the bits. As I said before, I purchased them years ago. I am now training several horses and have been wishing I had several of each bit. Now that I know how to get more! YEAH!!!!
Thanks so much.

( RE: The One Hander and the Ringmaster) We are still training with our original One-Hander. We use it on all the performance horses we train that are moving on to neck reining. We could train them the old fashion way of pointing the nose with the direct rein and laying the indirect rein on the neck, but your One-Hander does the same thing and communicates it in a way the horses learn faster. This actual bit has started several world champion horses. You don't have a better advocate for this bit than me. It will never leave my barn. I, personally, am thinking about returning to the professional show ring as I have a very promising prospect. If you have put the thought and engineering into the Ringmaster as you did the One-Hander (as I'm sure you probably have), and it helps this mare like I'm hoping -- WOW -- we'll be killer! I have a western bit that she just loves and works her best in, but when we switch to English, .....well, we haven't found the one to help her keep her frame as we fly around the jumping course. Of course she's still learning and working all the drills to correct her frame. She still wins or at least places 2nd in her English/Jumping classes, but I love her and want her to be FEARED! I've tried several bits so far....let's hope this is the one. FYI, I'm currently training a filly for an older friend and put her in the One-Hander yesterday while he was there. Of course she took to it in less than 3 minutes! I'm sure you'll be receiving his order shortly.

( RE: The Ringmaster) *Dear Sir, I met you last week at the Richmond Equine Extravaganza and purchased one of your Ringmaster snaffle bits. I am very skeptical about gimmick bits and will rarely try anything new out because most bits are based on the harshness of the mouth piece, which defeats the purpose when trying to train a quiet mouthed horse. After listening to your description of how it works I purchased one, for use on some of my green horses. My daughter has started showing some of our medium finish horses and wants a lighter bit than the conventional snaffles. So I gave in and bought the bit, almost convinced I had just thrown away my money. A few days ago I decided to try it out on a green five year old we have. He's done very well in a bosal, but the transition to a bit has been difficult because his mouth is too small for a 5 1/2 and too wide for a 5 inch bit. He also has a low palate, which the nutcracker action of a snaffle bit irritates. We put the Ringmaster on him and he swiveled the port up and down several times and then let it hang quietly. I noticed that he relaxed much quicker than usual and offered no rooting or head slinging. I was pleased by his over all performance and can see that he'll improve as he gets more used to wearing this bit. Next I tried it on a student's horse, the big paint I mentioned to you that roots horribly, to see if we could get him to quit dragging his rider out of the saddle by her arms. I had her ride him in a bosal first, because this seems to always lighten him up, and he'd never worn one before coming to my place, so hasn't had years of resistance to it. After his warm-up we put him in the Ringmaster and she rode him some more. He was extremely quiet, no rooting and didn't even offer to drag on her hands. Even at the canter he remained inside the bit and didn't pull excessively. I was impressed. It worked on a green horse and a problem horse in the same day. Yesterday I decided to try my senior stallion with it. He's ten and I usually ride him in a bosal. He remains very light and in control with the bosal, even after all these years. He also makes no bones about acting quite aggrieved when he wears any type of bit. He has a low palate like his son and most bits annoy him a great deal. I put the Ringmaster on him and waited for the grouchy look but instead he simply wiggled the port up and down until it suited him and then stood quietly. It was amazing. I rode him at a walk for a long time, waiting for him to try to stiffen and he never offered to. His trot was exquisite, light and inside the bit with no getting on the forehand for reversals. I am very impressed with how it helped lighten him up and kept him happy!
I will be ordering another Ringmaster bit and recommending them to my students. Thank you for such a great product.

( RE: The EZ Rider) We bought two of your bits last summer. I talked with the inventor about our QH with a small mouth and large tongue. We had tried a variety of bits with him and the only bit we could use that would also control him was pretty harsh. He suggested using the EZ rider mullen port~4.5 inches. It took a few times for him to respond to it the way he did with the other bit. However, now he works in it beautifully with two notable improvements...he rarely tosses his head and he NEVER chomps and "worries" about the bit. I was worried that my daughter wouldn't be able to control him if he took it in his head to grab the bit and go, but she has had no issues with that. Thank you for a great bit and the personal attention we received.
Sincerely,

( RE: The One Hander) I have two horses, one that doesn't like a bit in his mouth AT ALL and one that has nothing but green riders on her. I love, or should I say that my mare loves the One Hander because it helps green riders send the correct signal every time with very little pressure in her mouth. The other horse seems to have no problem with the One Hander because because it is very comfortable for him, he's never had an issue with it. Great Bit, great find!

( RE: The One Hander) I purchased the One-Hander in Nov 2006 at the Michigan Horse Expo in Novi, MI to use on my 2 YO Spotted Saddle/Walker. He was young, BIG and green broke. We were not getting along with the traditional walker bit in his mouth. When I put the One Hander in his mouth for the first time, I had a broke, neck reining horse. There has been no turning back since. We have put on over 800 miles since we started with this bit and he goes everywhere I ask without a fuss. He loves the bit and we are constanting being asked what kind of bit we are using. Can't say enough good about the One Hander. Keep up the good work!

( RE: The EZ Rider) Dear GR, I want to thank you for a wonderful bit. I really enjoyed speaking with you yesterday. I have been sharing the news with other horsemen and women in our saddle shop about the wonderful results I have had with your "EZ Rider" bit on my reining horse. I have had this horse since he was a weanling and is now 5. We have had some nice success - but my gelding was becoming increasingly more agitated with bits. During rest periods and at the lope he would chew on the bit in an anxious manner. This is not pleasing in the show pen. The closest bit I had come up with to ride him in is an old Monte Foreman Balance Ride bit. It worked OK, but he still wanted to "chomp" on it during rest periods. I have had many different bits on him - the correction bits were especially bad - he really wanted to gap his mouth and chew on those. Someone might read this and think I don't have good hands and have created this problem. I am a very successful equine sports massage therapist and consultant for behavioral problems with horses. I have quiet hands and my horse is soft in the face. My horse is in great condition and has dentistry several times a year. WE have ruled out other causes for this behavior. I just think he's been uncomfortable. He has a low upper palette and I feel many bits just didn't work for him. I also don't use a cavesson. I feel a horse will quiet their mouth when they are relaxed. The EZ Rider is the first bit my horse has "Packed"! He develops a light foam on his lips each time we ride and seems very comfortable. His give is better than ever and is riding in the bridle easier and with almost no resistance. I have already begun recommending it to friends. How could you go wrong when you have a 30 day trial money back guarantee. You won't want to send your bit back.
Thank you GR for a fine product.

( RE: The One Hander) Hi GR,
Jay and I just want to thank you for creating a bit with the Horse in mind. I have been a horse person my entire life and have competed in various disciplines, but never have I found a bit that communicates my wishes to my horse partner like your one hander does. We have used it on our 20 year old Paso who is a veteran show horse and now our pleasure trail mount. The first time Jay rode Capone' in the bit you could look at his eye and see that he was saying," thank you for this bit. It is so comfortable and tells me exactly what you want me to do!" We are now using in on our green 10 yr. old and having fantasitc results. He responds instantly and is always in complete control (even when startled and wanting to bolt he settles instantly as he feels my reassurance thru your bit). He is even learning to neck rein without any formal training by using this bit.
Thanks for making our time with our horses the pleasure it should be.... for both horse and rider.
I hope the word gets out and more equine enthusiasts become familiar with your product!
Sincerely,
Carol and Jay Keiser

( RE: The One Hander)
Hey Jerry, I have had the One Hander for over a month now and the horse I use it on really works well in it. Back in the fall of "06" I purchase a Tennessee Walker. The horse needed lots of work and in fact he was worst than what I thought. I decided either sell him or train him. I decided to train him. I started with the ground work first. Before I got through with his training I came across your web site about the different kinds of bits you offer. Since the horse did not neck rein and the One Hander bit would help in this area I decided to the buy the bit. After about two minutes or so he settle down. When I mounted I tried to neck rein him but he did not respond. After riding him for about 12-minutes he started to neck rein. Wow, I couldn't believe it. On my other horse It took me three lesson at 20 minutes (The old fashion way, using direct and indirect rein ) to get her to neck rein. I thought that was fast, but this was even faster. I thought for sure I would have trouble teaching this horse to neck rein. The one hander did a job I didn't have to do. I do not like riding horses that do not neck rein. I am a one hand driver so-to-speak. The only thing concerned me about this bit, would the horse stop with a one rein stop? It's important to have the one rein stop build into the foundation of the horse just in case there is a run-away. Yes, the bit works well with the one rein stop. In fact you can even direct rein the horse if you like with this bit. In my opinion it's one of the best bits on the market. Everything is fully adjustable. It may look weird, odd, funny, etc. It is certainly not like the norm. After over a month of using the bit it still works great. The horse backs up on cue, turns left or right and stops very well. I have found no soreness in the horses mouth. Before I got the one hander I was using a snaffle bits that interchanges. The horse's mouth became very sore until he wouldn't even let me feather his tongue which he loves. I have tried many bits. Yes they can make a horse go, but if you are wanting a much happier partner I suggests these bits. Very few bits on the market offer 30 day satisfaction. At the same time I bought the One Hander and Ringmaster bits I purchase a "Rockin S snaffle" bit. It offered a life time warranty but no 30 day guarantee. No adjustments. When it goes in the horse mouth and if he/she doesn't like it, tough luck. Not so with the American bridle bits. ( RE: The One Hander) It took several days in the indoor arena before my horse figured it out, then she loved it, and so did I! Riding season is coming, and it will be nice to have one hand free for your drink or camera as I go down the trail. Neck reining is simple for both the horse and rider with this bit!

( RE; The Ringmaster ) Good morning Sir, The reason I am writing I tried out the Ringmaster yesterday on my horse. He responded very well with this bit. I do like the bit a lot. In fact I like it better than any shank less bit I have ever tried. I compared your bit to the "Rockin S Snaffle". Another new bit I had ordered. When it comes to snaffle bits I do like it. This is what I found in comparing the two bits yesterday. I use the Ringmaster first and the horse responded very well to the bit. There was no pulling through the reins and he stop with very soft hands. This horse (one I am training a Tennessee Walker) had no issues with this bit. He seem to be very comfortable with the bit. Then I tried the Rockin S Snaffle bit. Just about all my bits are snaffles. But this one is a little different than most I have seen. I do like the way it's made. The horse responded very well with this bit too. However, I did notice about 3 or 4 times my horse try to pull through the reins and get release from the bit. He never did that with the Ringmaster. It did seem the horse was just a little "bit" more comfortable with the Ringmaster. If I had to choose between the two I like the Ringmaster the best. I tried to trick the horse with the Ringmaster by putting the port curb toward the back of his mouth and then toward the front of his mouth to see where it would be everytime I took the bit out. He adjusted the bit the way he wanted and everytime the port curb was facing the front part of his mouth when I took the bit out. At some point he flipped it over to the way he wanted. Maybe when it first when in (because it is easy to flip) or a moment later. Anyway, I do like the bit better than the Rockin S Snaffle bit. But I will continue to see if I get the same results as I use them. The horse will be the one that tells me which one he likes the best. Blessings, Sammy Lee

( RE: The One Hander) your One-hander is amazing. It turned my direct rein horse in to a neck reigner within 10 seconds!! I let someone borrow it and put his old bit in and he still remembered how to neck rein. The ability to ride one handed is crucial in mounted police work as you can imagine. We have to turn alot and need a free hand for the radio or grabbing something. I have purchased a draft cross now and he needs a 6 inch bit. Can I get a longer mouth piece? price? How do I get it? Like I said, I was very please at how my horse instantly became a neck reiner.. but for him to retain it with another bit in his mouth was awesome!!! Thanks a bunch. ( RE; The Ringmaster) GR, I purchased a ringmaster bit at Equine affaire in Columbus a couple weeks ago for a little horse I rescued out of a boarded up house. She has some issues with her head as a result of her early abuse and she has been very unhappy with the bits we had been using (chews, shakes her head, offers to rear), but in the two weeks we have been using the new bit she is MUCH more relaxed. I really do think the bit has made a huge difference. No more chewing, doesn't resent correction, will move forward into the bit. All in all, a positive experience for me, her and her trainer, so
I do thank you, Sandy Smith, D.V.M.l ........................................................................................................................
( RE: The One Hander) Hi, just to let you know...your bit has worked magic on my horse! I have had her less than 2 yrs. and she has never been happy in any bit. I have had to put a tie-down on her because she gets so hyper and creates a pulling contest. Long story short--no more tie down, no more pulling! Behavior that I had attributed to being "hard-mouthed" is exactly opposite. She has a soft mouth, very sensitive, and now I am able to ride her with very soft hands. She is happy with the onehander, and understands exactly what I want. I was totally convinced after only one ride but needed to have 2 rides to be sure as I could not believe this bit bit could make such an instant difference!! My horse is used for trails only but her idea of a walk is jogging. She gets on a "mission" and has in the past been very difficult to handle. Now we ride in sync...she knows just what I want, she neck reins better and best of all has no reason to pull or throw her head up. Thank you, I will be telling everyone I know. This bit is worth every penny. I imagine it would be a great bit for barrel racers also. P.S. I never did believe what they say about snaffles being the gentlest on their mouths...always thought they would pinch and now I'm certain.

( RE: The One Hander) Hello, Got the bit (onehander) I'm really impressed with it. I had just got my 4yr old back form the trainer. He was doing good with just a normal bit. But now that im using the onehander he is working great and responds super. I also tried it on another older horse that was out of practice with reining and talk about a whole different horse with the onehander. Thanks for coming up with the bit. Oh yea I will be getting another one since it is real hard to use both horse's with the one bit.

( RE: The One Hander) *The One Hander has worked very well for the horse we purchased it for... He fought any bit we used so much, tossing his head, and "chattering" the bit with his mouth, and opening his mouth, putting his nose up when stopping him...... This bit seems comfortable for him. We went on a trail ride recently; and not once during the ride did he toss his head or fight with the bit; the only time he opened his mouth was when stopping him... and I do belive that once he learns to "trust" that there is no pain he will eventually stop this also.. Thanks for a great bit...
I want to order the Ringmaster......

(RE: The Ringmaster) * Terriffic! ( the Ringmaster) I wish I could say It's like riding a different horse, but I don't want to ride a different hores. It did solve a lot of problems and makes for a much more comfortable ride for both me and my horse. I didn't realize that the snaffle bit I was using was causing so much discomfort for her and I've tried a low port curb bit before but she would get to playing with the legs on it. I was looking fo a "D" ring curb bit when I found the Ringmaster. The adjustable floating mouth piece seems to be very agreeable and has calmed things down to where we can work together to solve problems now. Thank You and I highly recomend the Ringmaster to anyone who is currently using a snaffle bit, or having bit related problems.

Since I have healed and am again riding, I have used the bit with Tia and it is great! I do square dancing with a group from our local riders club, and we like to have one hand free to reach out and touch a partner and this bit lets me do that.
Aside from that, it has made Tia stop chomping at her bit, it was a very annoying habit of hers and she does not chomp on this bit, nor does she chomp on the snaffle when I choose to use that.
I am very happy with it, and so is Tia!
I get a lot of questions about my strange looking bit, and have referred several people to your web site.

( RE: The One Hander) I purchased a western bit ( the One Hander ) at the Equine Extravaganza and have been very pleased. I have used it on two different horses that used to bob their heads the whole time they were being ridden. With your bit they no longer bob their heads. The only problem we are having is that often both horses are being ridden/shown at the same time and I only have one bit. I was wondering if repeat customers get a discount on the price of the bit.

( RE: The One Hander and the Ringmaster)
I am having great success with my horses and both of the bits. I learned about these bits recently because they are becoming more popular and some exhibitors are wanting to use them in the show ring and are asking about their legality. Also, within the last few weeks, the bits have come to the attention of the Michigan judges to determine if they fit within the guidelines as legal and acceptable for Michigan rules. The 4-H extension office wrote that they fit within the guidelines of Mi-4-H rules and judges may allow them in the ring. I also hope that MIHA would allow them for the exhibitors on the high school equestrian teams.
Anyway, I decided to give both of the bits a try and here is what I found thus far-
I bought the the"Ringmaster" snaffle bit for Bud because it has been an absolute struggle to get him in a more dressage-type/ balanced frame after so many years of going long-and-low in the pleasure classes. (Keep in mind, this bit is the 3rd bit I have bought for Bud in the last few months to try and stop his pulling and alleviate my neck and shoulder pain. After 2 rides in the Ringmaster Snaffle, I was completely amazed because he he totally stopped leaning, hanging and pulling on me. It is really quite remarkable! He is even starting to "chew" the bit and is much lighter in my hand. I am so pleased with the transformation of Bud, especially since I was purchasing stronger and stronger bits to achieve this response without success. The ringmaster bit is ergonomically proportioned to the horses jaw with a free moving snaffle-type port that allows 100% custom fit to your horses mouth and is very gentle. This bit is well worth the money and in my opinion is suitable for any age horse and/or rider.
The "One Hander" bit is very unusual looking and looks like a cross between a shank bit and bosal because the shanks are connected by a center ring where the reins attach. It is really interesting how this bit works because when you neck rein your horse, it allows the riders rein aides to act correctly by using both indirect and DIRECT rein pressure when steering. What's also neat is that the shanks have a spring like cushion that helps absorb the rider's mistakes. I've been using the one-hander bit on Raider for a week now and I can't believe what a different horse he is. Usually in the show bit, Raider struggles with his head position and either gets too low and on the forehand or hollows out trying to get away from the bit. With this one-hander bit, Raider is traveling softly and totally balanced. He isn't on the forehand and he has stopped lifting his head through his up and down transitions. I don't even have to half-halt anymore to set his head, Raider just carries his head and neck in a soft drape and very level. It has taken a few rides to get used to the bit because it has a different feel to it, but the horse was immediately comfortable in it. Definitely worth the investment if you consider it to be one of the most important things you buy for your horse, it's not all that much.
PS: I swear, I'm not getting paid to endorse this product, I'm just really impressed and want to spread the word!

( RE: The One Hander and the Ringmaster) * " My first time to try the "One Hander" was on a young coming 3 year old who accepted the bit well, considering I was concerned whether the weight of the bit would cause some head shaking or tossing in a training youngster, but it didn't, he took it quite well . The second horse, a 5 year old that has a soft mouth but that knows her direct rein bit pressure cues and neck reins fairly well. She didn't show any of the quick joggy, jerky head movements she normally shows when a different bit is placed in her mouth. For about the first 5-8 minutes she showed a bit of mouth pressure confusion, but once she felt the mechanics of it at work, she did wonderfully. I am presently trying it on a 15 year old. She is working really awesome on it. All in all I think you have a winner here, an invaluable riding aid."
Regarding the "Ringmaster " D-Ring Bit; "I have had the horse in theRingmaster, It has proven to be a gentle and kind bit for a young mouth. At first the colt was objecting to it but it was because a slight headstall adjustment needed to be made. Once done, the horse settled in and the bit became a wonderful aid in his training of direct rein pressure. The narrowness and shape of the mouth piece along with the custom mouth guards aided in keeping him from wanting to mouth the bit and kept it in place through the rein cues. Because of the softness of the optional Custom Soft Touch Mouth Guards it allowed me to keep the colt's attention in order to obtain proper head and neck flexes. I am very impressed with both bits." (The Ringmaster) Hello again G.R.,
To bring you up to date the young horse I had originally intended the bit ( the Ringmaster) for has become so amazingly settled and has learned to ease into the most exquisite jog I have ever experienced. I only wished that he horse were mine, but to my delight the owner is so impressed that I now have two other yearlings awaiting their turn in training. The older horse is no longer experiencing mouth soreness and is still loving the bit. All in all everyone is happy and when they are happy their response is amazing.
I have referred many to your site after much curiosity and many questions. When they ask, the best thing I do is put them up on their own horse with one of the bits and let them see and feel the difference. They are all awestruck and I do believe most of them have purchased one of the bits for themselves.
I can not thank you enough for your product. Keep up the wonderful work. Thanks a million!

( RE: The One Hander) I purchased a one hander last fall at the Novi Expo........ I used it over the winter, loved it. On April 2nd, 2005 I attended a NRHA show in Jackson Ohio, the Ohio Valley Reining Horse Assoc.. I truly appreciate the ingenuity of the design and thank you so much for the time you spent at the expo explaining it to me. I purchased this bit because my aged mare has this irritating head bopping when you depart at a lope or if I pick up the reins to make contact. I have had her teeth checked and mouth examined and the consensus was there was no physical problem to create this....trainers told me it was something I just had to live with..... I'm not sure if its the floating mouth piece or the weight of the shank but she has not offered any head bopping at all while wearing this bit. I put the bit I was using before on for the warm up prior to showing and she immediately went back to the head bopping. I went and changed bits back to the One Hander and finished my warm-up. I had a super ride even thou she was somewhat fresh being her 1st show this year...... the one hander also saved me in my circles since she wanted to run......... she necked reined nicely and round.......... where any other shanked bit would have pulled her nose to the outside of the circle.
Thanks So Much,
Roseann Tode Metamora, MI.

RE: ( The One Hander A.Q.H.A. Approval ) Dear Mr. Bork:
"I have received the bit and your letter of explanation concerning the "One Hander" bridle bit.
I will agree the bit is very unique in design and also in it's concept of applied use. I will also agree that it is the function of the bit and not the appearance that counts.
On examining the bit, I feel it would be legal to use in an AQHA-approved show. If I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me." Sincerely, Charles Hemphill AQHA Director of Shows .................................................................................................................................................. Our bits were also approved for use in the 2004, 2005 and 2007ABRA World Shows
