All of our bits are a of Never-Pinch design.
No pinch points will ever develop no matter how much our bits are used !  Guaranteed !


Specifications of the "One Hander"
  1 ) Total length  measured from where the bridle attaches to where the reins attach is 8 1/2".
  2 ) The length of the shank, from the center line of the mouth piece to where the reins attach is 7 3/8".  
  3 )  Measuring from where the bridle attaches to the center line of the mouth piece is 2 7/8".
  4 ) The port diameter is 3/8", The bar contact area diameter is 1/2".
  5 ) The effective leverage ratio is 2.565 : 1 (7 3/8" divided by 2 7/8") which is less than most conventional bits.
  6 ) All joints are "O" Ring sealed to insure smooth operation under all conditions.
  7 ) The port is considered a medium height and is a floating port so the horse can put it where it is the most comfortable for that particular horse. No pressure is ever applied to the horse's tongue or palate.
  8 ) The standard width mouth piece is adjustable from 4 1/2" thru 5 3/8" for a perfect fit to nearly any horse. Optional adjustable widths are available,

  9 )  The weight of the One Hander is 17oz. and the balance is excellent.
10 )  Made entirely of 300 grade stainless steel containing 8% copper.

 1) SHANK LENGTH  5", purchase length 2.7/8" = 1.74 : 1 ratio. 
in Normal leverage position.
 2) Shank length 5  5/8", purchase length 2 1/4" =  2.50: 1  ratio  in Increased leverage position. 
 3) Note: an average conventional curb bit with a shank length of 5 1/4", purchase length of 2 1/2" =  2.1 : 1 ratio.

The Freedom Rider short shank curb bit

Freedom Rider specifactions  
  1 ) The mouth piece is three part assembly, the port and the 2 cheek pieces.
  2 ) The port diameter is 3/8", The bar contact area diameter is 9/16".
  3 ) The shank lenght is 3 1/4" with a purchase lenght of 2 1/2".
      This means the Freedom Rider applies 11% more pressure than a ring type bit.
  4 ) The standard port is a medium height and floats so the horse can position it where it is the most comfortable for that particular horse.
